The Marvel Rivals Game Director has suggested that the game may be missing cross-progression for its launch. Many popular online games feature cross-progression, but Marvel Rivals developer NetEase may have to implement it in a post-launch update.Since the introduction of online multiplayer progression, gamers have expressed a desire to carry their accomplishments from one platform to another. As new consoles were introduced and publishers became open to the idea, it started being implemented in popular titles. Some of the original adopters of cross-progression include Fortnite, Destiny 2, Minecraft, and Rocket League. This allowed players to not only unlock in-game accomplishments across the board but also acquire unlocked cosmetics and Battle Passes. The upcoming hero shooter Marvel Rivals will seemingly be missing this fan-favorite feature as the developer works to polish other aspects of the game instead.
