Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Announces New DLC Based on Daima Anime

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will be adding content from the newly released anime series Dragon Ball Daima in the near future through a DLC. An action RPG set in the Dragon Ball universe, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot has already expanded outside the story of Dragon Ball Z with previous DLC releases and is now set to provide a playable iteration of the anime franchise’s latest entry.Starting out in 1984, the Dragon Ball franchise is composed of seven different anime series and several accompanying movies. The latest anime series, which stands as the final written work of the late franchise creator Akira Toriyama, Dragon Ball Daima released its first episode worldwide on October 11, 2024. The new series features several of the franchise’s familiar heroes who have all been turned into children by the new demon king. A rumor from July hinted that Daima content could be coming to Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, as a dataminer looking into the game found the new anime’s name listed. Bandai Namco has now shown that rumor to be true, revealing a new trailer for the Adventure Through the Demon Realm Part 1 DLC. The trailer shows a young Goku in bewildered excitement over the new Demon Realm region. There is no set release date for this DLC, but Bandai Namco assures fans of the game that it is coming soon. Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot Announces Adventure Through the Demon Realm DLC Bandai Namco hasn’t revealed much of what will be coming in terms of Dragon Ball Daima content other than showing the Demon Realm setting and the new childlike version of Goku. The action RPG is coming up on its fifth anniversary in January, and developer CyberConnect2 has managed to maintain a healthy player base throughout the game’s lifespan through Dragon Ball: Kakarot season pass and DLC content. If past DLC releases are any indicator, fans can expect to see new characters and forms, super attacks, and story content based on the recently released anime series. Close Kakarot isn’t the only game from the Dragon Ball franchise to be getting content from the new anime series added soon. On the same day as this announcement, Bandai Namco revealed that an upcoming Dragon Ball Sparking Zero DLC will add Dragon Ball Daima characters. The characters revealed so far are Vegeta (Mini) and Glorio, who will both be included in that game’s second DLC pack in early 2025. Three packs are currently in the works for that game, with both the second and third focused on providing Dragon Ball Daima content.
