With the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 fast approaching, Activision has revealed even more details on the upcoming shooter and confirmed the return of the firing range. This fan-favorite feature allows players to test out their weapons before jumping into a game and has featured in various other Call of Duty titles stemming back to 2014’s Advanced Warfare, but will now be returning with a few improvements in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is just a matter of days away from releasing, but while many fans are patiently waiting to pre-download the shooter on October 21, Activision recently confirmed that players based in Kuwait will be unable to play Black Ops 6 as the country has not approved the game for release. This means that any Call of Duty fan living in Kuwait who has pre-ordered the upcoming Black Ops game will be issued with a refund, but the publisher has said it remains optimistic that the country will “reconsider” its decision in the future. While the inclusion of a firing range in Black Ops 6 was leaked earlier this year, Activision has now officially confirmed the feature will be returning via a new blog post. The firing range has been a fan-favorite feature in Call of Duty for many years now, allowing users to test out different weapons and find the new meta without having to jump straight into a multiplayer match. While this year’s firing range will operate similarly to its predecessors, it does come with some handy new features that players will want to make the most of. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Reveals Return of Firing Range Close In the build-up to the launch of Black Ops 6, Activision will be releasing a total of five blog posts featuring new intel on its upcoming shooter, which is being developed by Treyarch Studios. The first blog post, which was released on October 16, featured plenty of information on the game’s iteration of Call of Duty’s iconic firing range. Players will be able to shoot at practice dummies at 10-,25-, and 50-meter intervals and each dummy can be equipped with 0,1,2, or 3 armor plates. Like always, the firing range will have unlimited ammunition and will feature a target elimination tracker, an accuracy tracker, and a damage tracker in the top left corner of the screen. But what is undoubtedly the best feature of Black Ops 6’s new firing range is the recoil target: a metal plate that hangs from the ceiling roughly seven meters from the player and allows users to test out the bullet spread of their weapon. This is something fans had often been make-shifting in previous Call of Duty titles by shooting at the wall of the firing range to see the recoil pattern of their weapon, but that will now be a thing of the past. With players often clambering to find the latest Call of Duty weapon meta, this new feature is definitely going to be a big help.
